Sedona Spiritual Workers Retreat

I'm inviting all of the spiritual workers in the Sedona area to a camping retreat in the Coconino National Forest. The event will start Friday, February 29 thru Sunday, March 2. See the map below and for directions.

What time on Friday? I will be at the site in Wednesday to stage firewood and prep the site so anytime Friday (or earlier) will be fine. The sooner you come the better spot you will have for your tent.

What to bring? Bring your tent and any beer, alcohol, and food you want. I have an extra tent should anybody need one and if you have room in your tent, or an extra one, please let me know so I can get people into a sleeping area if needed.

Also, bring your drums and other musical equipment for a drum circle on Friday and Saturday night. See Schedule below.

What is the schedule? Just after sunset on Friday and Saturday the fire pit will be open for a drum circle in the old Oak Creek Brewery style. We will be in the middle of nowhere so we can let it rip and have fun. This should last for a few hours then I would like to play some dance music for a few hours then a more meditative, quiet selection as the evening turns into morning.

On Saturday I will keep the fire going all day so if you need to cook food during the day that will be available to you. You can also make your own fire by your tent if you would like.

If there is anybody that would like to coordinate a special ceremony, hold a workshop, say some words, etc... please let me know. All day Saturday is open to whatever the group wants to do.

I would like to reserve from midnight till noon the next day as quiet time for sleeping and meditation. (Unless everybody is still up and dancing at 2am then it will be go-with-the-flow.)

What are the requirements? I talked to the Red Rock Ranger Station to let them know what I was planning. They said the only requirement was that every automobile had to display the Red Rock Pass in order to park on the National Forest. Since we are doing a religious/spiritual gathering I asked if it was necessary to still have the Red Rock Pass. I was told,"Yes, a Red Rock Pass is still required to park on the National Forest."

What are the directions?
From Sedona get on 89A toward Cottonwood about 9.7 miles.
Turn right on NF-525/Red canyon Rd. Go about 2.8 miles
Slight left (after cattle guard) at NF-525C/Sycamore Pass Rd. Go about 3.2 miles
Slight right to stay on NF-525C. Go about 1 mile
Turn right onto NF-9552. Go to the end about 1/2 mile.

If you plan to attend anytime during the weekend please let me know by emailing me and you can also let me know if you need or have an extra tent or space for sleeping.

I'm looking forward to seeing you all there. Let's have fun!
